Lily Bruinsma is an 19 year-old proud Western Australian from Perth, with Dutch and Indonesian roots. Growing up Lily always had a natural knack for all things hands-on. With multiple trade certificates, she is currently thriving as a first year heavy diesel apprentice, an incredible opportunity opened up for her directly through the Miss Universe Australia platform.
Outside of her day job with big trucks, Lily is passionate about surfing, woodwork or exploring her passion for rally cars, particularly the classic Toyota Celica.
Through the Miss Universe Australia platform, Lily’s ultimate purpose is to dismantle stereotypes and empower young woman to boldly work in non-traditional trades, proving they can succeed in any industry they set their minds to.
