Uma Dawson

Uma Dawson is a 22-year-old based in Sydney who proudly embraces her Fijian-Indian and Australian heritage. She is a final-year student in a co-operative scholarship program studying Commerce with majors in Accounting and Marketing. She spends her days studying, working in the accounting industry and modelling.

Her passion lies in empowering young children and providing them with support, love and encouragement. This led her to join the Pyjama Angel Foundation, where she volunteers consistently with a child in foster care, providing them with a sense of stability and joyful experiences.

Through the Miss Universe Australia platform, she would like to continue empowering children through her volunteering and as an ambassador for Toybox. As a biracial Indian woman, she hopes to empower young girls to see themselves as capable and beautiful, and to embrace their unique qualities, as that brings colour to the world.
